I could pretend for a while that I had left cold and snowy England and was on holiday on a tropical island swimming with the cast of Finding Nemo. Then I had to bundle up and leave Newquay Aquarium!!

The snowdrops are out at Anglesey Abbey. I am hoping that they herald the arrival of spring as I am so sick of winter.

I am offically over snow - it's is fine when it falls, looks pretty for a couple of hours and then melts, and this is even better when it falls on a weekend, but when we get snow like we had this year that just refuses to go away we in the UK - and by UK I mean mainly the south of the UK - become the laughing stock of Europe for the way the entire country grinds to a halt.

Thankfully it has now all gone and fingers and toes crossed that it does not decide to return for a sneeky late Feb comeback.

Just spotted on the Guardian Website a picture of Nick Griffen of the British National Party sitting in front of the Union Flag. Unfortunatly for them the flag is hanging upside down, a sign of distress. Priceless.

We discovered a shop on Regents Street that is devoted to all things Marmite - you can even get Marmite on toast in the cafe upstairs.
